It might be the SHOES…

So part of the challenges have been a tear in the outer part of my meniscus. This causes any swelling in my knee to press directly on the nerve in my leg and the pain is tough. I started the challenge unsure that i could even do some of the exercises because of this…but I know now that yes it will hurt, sometimes for a few days…but it will not kill me…and it might be the SHOES…

One for cross-training, one for walking…

For cross-training I found a good deal on Amazon for some Altra Hiit XT
https://amzn.to/2TKHO23 (not the newest greatest model, but priced affordably for sure), check them out below.

These are interesting, Zero Drop and the all rubber sole really helps when doing things like lateral movements and supportive moves. I had a problem with my feet sliding when doing things like planks and hammy walk outs. I tend to roll my ankles easily and these are making me more confident the more I use them. I feel very stable and best of all I think they are helping not to stress my knee out. Once you get past the shape of the front they are comfy and so far so good.
